Tatyana Bystrova. English<>Russian Translator

English

Russian

Welcome!

A few words about myself. I enjoy translating--among other things, it is challenging, stimulating, and enriching. My first freelance translation projects date back to 1999, the year I received my Bachelor's degree in Teaching Foreign Languages (English and German) and Linguistics from Tver State University (Russia).

In 2004, I graduated from Kent State University (USA, Ohio) with a Master's degree in Russian Translation. At the moment, I am working on my PhD in Translation Studies at KSU.

In the last few years, in addition to translating, I have worked as an editor, proofreader, and translation/localization quality assurance reviewer for several translation companies and direct clients. If you are looking for a Russian linguist, or if you are interested in translation and languages (which I also teach), please feel free to contact me.

Here you can take a look at my translation samples from 2002-2004. For more recent samples, please contact me via email.
